Launch the Mobile Banking app on your mobile device and select Deposit. Endorse the check with "For Mobile Deposit to Macatawa Bank".  Snap a photo of the front and back of the check.  Enter the amount of the check, select which account gets the deposit, and hit submit.   For security reasons, our daily limit on Mobile Deposit is $5,000.

What do I need to know to pay someone?

All you need is the recipients email address or mobile phone number.

Is it secure?

Confidential personal information is not included in the emails or text messages. If they were intercepted by a third party, the information contained would be of no use to the fraudster since it requires the recipient to authenticate themselves through Popmoney or their online banking site in order to collect the funds.

How do I send money using Popmoney?

  1. Login to your personal online banking account at www.macatawabank.com.
  2. Select the Popmoney tab in the right hand corner of the Bill Payment box.
  3. Select an existing recipient and enter the amount of the payment or add someone new by entering the recipients first/last name and email address or mobile phone number.
  4. Select the "Send Money" button.
  5. The recipient receives an email or text with a personal greeting from the sender.
  6. If the recipients financial institution is in the Popmoney network, they use their online banking to accept the payment. If not, they indicate to Popmoney.com where to deposit the money.
  7. The money moves directly from your Macatawa Bank account to the recipient’s bank account.

General account questions

How do I print my bank statement from Online Banking?

  • Once logged in to Online Banking click into the bank account statement you would like to print.

  • Next, select “Documents” from the menu and use the “Document Search” feature to find the statement you need.

  • Click on the statement you want to print.

  • Once the statement appears, print the document using the normal printing process for your browser (Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.).

How do I add or update my email address and phone numbers with the Bank when I’m in Online Banking?

  • Once logged in to Online Banking select “Profile” from the top right corner.

  • Next, select the type of information you would like to update (Password, Challenge Questions, Email, Phone, or Electronic Statements), update as needed and save.

I am locked out of Personal Online Banking? What can I do?

After five unsuccessful log in attempts your account will become locked. Call us at (877) 820-2265. We will be happy to unlock your account and get you back to your banking.

How do I enroll in Personal Online Banking?

  • From our website, click the “Login” tab located at the top of each page.

  • Choose “Enroll in Online Banking” and fill in the required fields.

Transfer funds

How do I transfer money between my Macatawa Bank accounts when I’m in Online Banking?

Sign in to your Online Banking and choose one of two ways:
  • Click “Transfer” in the main menu.

  • Make a quick transfer by clicking “Transfer” next to the specific account from which you want to transfer.

How do I transfer money in between my Macatawa Bank accounts, and accounts I have at other financial institutions when I’m in Online Banking?

  • Once logged in to Online Banking, select “Pay Bills”. This will open your “Payment Center”.

  • Next, select “Transfer Money” from the menu and follow the steps to “Add an Account”.

  • Allow 1-2 business days for our test deposit to show at your secondary financial institution.

  • Log into your Macatawa Online Banking, click into the account that you first selected for the bank to bank transfer, select “Bank to Bank Transfers” and follow the directions to “Verify your Account”.

I have question about paying bills online. How can I learn more?

The Pay Bills “Help Center” is a great place to learn more about our online bill payment service. Log in to Online Banking, select “Pay Bills”, and then choose “Help Center” from the menu.

How to setup a Bill Pay payee?

  • Once logged in to Online Banking, select “Pay Bills”, this will take you to the “Payment Center”.

  • Next, select “Add a Company or Person” and follow the steps provided.

How do I change or cancel a Bill Pay payment?

  • You can change a payment that has not started processing from the “Pay Bills” screen, locate the “Pending Payments” area on the right side of the screen.

  • Next, locate the pending payment you would like to change/cancel and click the corresponding action you would like to take.

How do I get in to the Bill Pay payment center?

Once logged in to Online Banking, click into the account that you would like to pay bills from, then select “Pay Bills” and you will be taken to the “Payment Center”.
