Biographies
Macatawa Asset Management employs a group of experienced financial professionals to manage client assets. They provide written quarterly reports and host client/advisor meetings to review past performance and discuss potential changes in the client's objectives.
The Asset Management Team
Duane J. Carpenter, CFP®, Portfolio Manager, has over nineteen years of financial management experience, with direct responsibility for the management of assets including bank investment portfolios, personal and corporate trust accounts, pooled funds, cash management accounts, pension and profit sharing plans, and publicly traded mutual funds. Duane has extensive knowledge in the areas of taxable and tax exempt fixed income management, portfolio analysis, asset allocation, and investment strategy. Duane holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Hope College, along with the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner.

Nancy Iannelli, Portfolio Manager, has over fifteen years of brokerage and banking experience in portfolio management. She has been at Macatawa Bank since 2002 working closely with personal trust, employee benefit and individual retirement account relationships. She actively volunteers in the Forest Hills school district and with Junior Achievement. Nancy holds a Bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College.

Shawn J. Inzitari, CFA®, Portfolio Manager, Portfolio Manager, is responsible for managing the assets of personal and corporate trust accounts, pension and profit sharing plans, individual retirement accounts and foundations. Shawn has worked both as an Equity Analyst and a Portfolio Manager since 1994. He has earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is a member of the CFA Society of Western Michigan. Shawn holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Xavier University and a MBA specializing in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Thor W. Nelson, Portfolio Manager, is responsible for the management of assets for personal and corporate trust accounts, pension and profit sharing plans, individual retirement accounts and foundations. In 2001 he became co-manager of the Smith & Associates Financial Fund, LLC. He joined Smith & Associates as a Research Assistant with an emphasis in the analysis of financial services companies in 1997. Thor holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Hope College.
